Cherie Mercado as Media Relation for DOTC

For eighteen years as a reporter and 3 years as Senior Correspondent/News Anchor of TV5, Cherie deserved more than that for being such a hardworking media practitioner.
A highly respected writer, reporter, producer, senior newscaster, broadcast-journalist and host/anchor of the top three networks in the Philippines beginning as a news reporter and researcher at GMA Broadcasting Corp., then as one of the best live on-the-screen reporter of ABS-CBN News, before deciding to sign contract with TV5.
Way back then, she also hosted the ABS-CBN morning show "Alas Singko Y'Medya", "Magandang Umaga Bayan", The Global News and with her own lifestyle show on ANC - "Coffee Talk with Cherie Mercado".
Well-respected for her poise as one of the prominent figure in the news industry, very professional as what other co-workers describe her. And now, Cherie Mercado as the appointed Media Relation of Department Of Transport and Communication, typically, her work means coordinating directly with the people responsible and producing the news and features in the mass and social media. Her goal is to maximize positive coverage in the mass and social media without paying for it directly through advertising.
