How to get a Police Clearance in Davao City

Saturday, January 12, 2013

There are many reasons why you will get a POLICE CLEARANCE. In my case, this is one of the requirements needed to apply for a UNION BANK EON CARD and BPI My ePREPAID MASTERCARDCARD (in lieu of an ID if you don't have an I.D. to present).

Things you must have in applying for a POLICE CLEARANCE:
  • Visit your Barangay Hall.  Get CEDULA or RESIDENTIAL CERTIFICATION (PHp25) and BARANGAY CLEARANCE(PHp20)/CERTIFICATION(PHp20).

  • Go to Sangguniang Panglungsod to pay PHp25 for your POLICE CLEARANCE.  Just present your CEDULA.

  • After you comply with these requirements, go to CAMP CAPT. DOMINGO E. LEONOR or popularly known as DAVAO CITY POLICE STATION.  Just present and leave one valid I.D upon entering the Police Station.  Office is located near the GYM (at your left side).

  • Inside the premises, you have to get an application form from RECEIVING WINDOW. Need to fill-up all necessary questions and return the form with your CEDULA and the receipt from Sanggunian and Barangay Clearance to the RECEIVING WINDOW to have it check and to get your priority number at the same time.

  • WAIT FOR YOUR NUMBER TO BE CALLED and PROCEED TO DOOR 1 for COMPUTER PICTURES ENCODING. Pay PHp80 for POLICE CLEARANCE COMPUTER PICTURE.

  • After you finish having your picture taken inside, wait for 2-3 minutes to get your POLICE CLEARANCE at the RELEASING WINDOW.
So far my experience here is very good.  They really have fast and efficient service.  KUDOS TO ALL OF THE STAFF AND OFFICERS of DAVAO CITY POLICE for a job well done.  So very proud to live here in Davao City.

In just 3 minutes, my name was called and I have now my POLICE CLEARANCE!!!!

This is only applicable for Davao City residence.

  2. Hi, what's the total cost of a police clearance, and how long does it last for? I suspect a "needy" Filipina is swindling me. Also, her 'new' one has the same picture on it, so she wouldn't have needed to pay for a photo the second time round, right?
