My Say About President Duterte SONA #TheSONAofManyFirsts #SONA2016

The First State Of the Nation Address of our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is the SONA of many first.

Credit to RAPPLER

Duterte is the first Philippine President who hail from Mindanao, that broke a lot of protocols and highlight of events.

Let's have a list:

First President to suggest to change the SONA in to a not FASHION GALORE DAY. No traditional donning long gowns and elegant Barong Tagalog or suits. All guests and attendees were required to wear BUSINESS ATTIRE.
All are subject to pass through security check. VIP's or not are required to follow this protocol.
The menu for SONA are all native dishes. VIP's will be served simple food, compare to PNoy's last SONA in 2015.
For the first time, the militants are not rallying in protests, but rallying to support Duterte's Administration. They called it "Kilos-suporta"!
First time that the Militants are allowed to rally near the Batasan Complex.
First time that there is no streets barbed wires that divide the police and the rallyists.
First President not following the script in the teleprompter.

That after his SONA, he invited the militant's to come to Malacañan and have a talk with him, really like same thing happened last June 30, 2016, during his Inauguration as President of the Philippines.

A view of fresh air, no tear gas, no barricades, no water canon, no stone-throwing, no harassment happened, but a powerful and blissful scenario of love and compassion take place.

Another first is that the three of the four
highest positions in the land today are all Mindanaoans - President Duterte is from Davao City, Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III from Cagayan de Oro City and the House Speaker Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez from Davao del Norte.

It's also the first time that a child of the former Senate President Aquilino "Nene" Pimentel Jr. served as Senate President in 2000-2001, also become a Senate President just like his father.

Rodrigo Duterte's advice to those who want to be President: Don't. It's all work and sleep everyday. @gmanews pic.twitter.com/kXXWw7ttYV

— Cedric Castillo (@cedric_castillo) July 25, 2016

These are just some of the many firsts from Duterte's Government and much change has taken place.

I am a Dabawenya. Born and raised here in Davao City. I grow up in a city from a cesspool of crime to a safe and cleaned Davao. My President may not be the kind of guy you expect. A Probinsyano that in his language, actions, and decisions would not be a decent to you, I think you probably know roughly what to expect from him.

The move to discipline ourselves and live in a safe and secure life. As promised, he will do his work as President, he will operates both national and local - we just need to cooperate with him!

His message of truth(transparency) would tie the entire nation, he will keep his word on giving us a CLEAN GOVERNMENT, same as what he did in his city - DAVAO CITY.

In 2016 Presidential Election, 2016 Republican Convention

Melania Trump Plagiarized Michelle Obama 2008 Convention Speech #USAPresidentialConvention

After the speech of Melania Trump, wife of Donald Trump, during the opening night of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland netizens were impress how Melania spoke forcefully and with great love about her husband.

SCREENSHOT GRAB at ABC15 Arizona

But a journalist Jarrett Hill discovered that the speech sounds familiar, a section of Michelle Obama speech during the 2008 address to the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

FULL SPEECH:

You have all been very kind to Donald and me, to our young son Barron, and to our whole family. It's a very nice welcome and we're excited to be with you at this historic convention.

I am so proud of your choice for President of the United States, my husband, Donald J. Trump. And I can assure you, he is moved by this great honor.

The 2016 Republican primaries were fierce and started with many candidates, 17 to be exact, and I know that Donald agrees with me when I mention how talented all of them are. They deserve respect and gratitude from all of us.

However, when it comes to my husband, I will say that I am definitely biased, and for good reason. I have been with Donald for 18 years and I have been aware of his love for this country since we first met. He never had a hidden agenda when it comes to his patriotism, because, like me, he loves this country so much.

I was born in Slovenia, a small, beautiful and then communist country in Central Europe. My sister Ines, who is an incredible woman and a friend, and I were raised by my wonderful parents. My elegant and hard-working mother Amalia introduced me to fashion and beauty. My father Viktor instilled in me a passion for business and travel. Their integrity, compassion and intelligence reflect to this day on me and for my love of family and America.

From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life: that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life.

That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generation to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

I am fortunate for my heritage, but also for where it has brought me today. I travelled the world while working hard in the incredible arena of fashion. After living and working in Milan and Paris, I arrived in New York City twenty years ago, and I saw both the joys and the hardships of daily life.

On July 28th, 2006, I was very proud to become a citizen of the United States — the greatest privilege on planet Earth. I cannot, or will not, take the freedoms this country offers for granted.

But these freedoms have come with a price so many times. The sacrifices made by our veterans are reminders to us of this.

I would like to take this moment to recognize an amazing veteran, the great Senator Bob Dole. And let us thank all of our veterans in the arena today, and those across our great country.

We are all truly blessed to be here. That will never change. I can tell you with certainty that my husband has been concerned about our country for as long as I have known him. With all of my heart, I know that he will make a great and lasting difference.

Donald has a deep and unbounding determination and a never-give-up attitude. I have seen him fight for years to get a project done — or even started — and he does not give up! If you want someone to fight for you and your country, I can assure you, he is the 'guy'. He will never, ever, give up. And, most importantly, he will never, ever, let you down.

Donald is, and always has been, an amazing leader. Now, he will go to work for you.

His achievements speak for themselves, and his performance throughout the primary campaign proved that he knows how to win. He also knows how to remain focused on improving our country — on keeping it safe and secure.

He is tough when he has to be but he is also kind and fair and caring. This kindness is not always noted, but it is there for all to see. That is one reason I fell in love with him to begin with. Donald is intensely loyal. To family, friends, employees, country.

He has the utmost respect for his parents, Mary and Fred, to his sisters Maryanne and Elizabeth, to his brother Robert and to the memory of his late brother Fred. His children have been cared for and mentored to the extent that even his adversaries admit they are an amazing testament to who he is as a man and a father.

There is a great deal of love in the Trump family. That is our bond, and that is our strength.

Yes, Donald thinks big, which is especially important when considering the presidency of the United States. No room for small thinking. No room for small results. Donald gets things done.

Our country is underperforming and needs new leadership. Leadership is also what the world needs.

Donald wants our country to move forward in the most positive of ways. Everyone wants change. Donald is the only one that can deliver it.

We should not be satisfied with stagnation. Donald wants prosperity for all Americans.

We need new programs to help the poor and opportunities to challenge the young. There has to be a plan for growth — only then will fairness result.

My husband's experience exemplifies growth and the successful passage of opportunity to the next generation. His success indicates inclusion rather than division.

My husband offers a new direction, welcoming change, prosperity and greater cooperation among peoples and nations. Donald intends to represent all the people, not just some of the people.

That includes Christians and Jews and Muslims, it includes Hispanics and African-Americans and Asians, and the poor and the middle class. Throughout his career, Donald has successfully worked with people of many faiths and with many nations.

Like no one else, I have seen the talent, the energy, the tenacity, the resourceful mind and the simple goodness of heart that God gave Donald Trump. Now is the time to use those gifts as never before, for purposes far greater than ever before.

And he will do this better than anyone else can... and it won't even be close. Everything depends on it, for our cause and for our country. People are counting on him — all the millions of you who have touched us so much with your kindness and your confidence.

You have turned this unlikely campaign into a movement that is still gaining in strength and number. The primary season, and its toughness, is behind us. Let's all come together in a national campaign like no other!

The race will be hard-fought, all the way to November. There will be good times and hard times and unexpected turns — it would not be a Trump contest without excitement and drama. But through it all, my husband will remain focused on only one thing: this beautiful country, that he loves so much.

If I am honored to serve as first lady, I will use that wonderful privilege to try to help people in our country who need it the most. One of the many causes dear to my heart is helping children and women. You judge a society by how it treats its citizens. We must do our best to ensure that every child can live in comfort and security, with the best possible education.

As citizens of this great nation, it is kindness, love and compassion for each other that will bring us together — and keep us together. These are the values Donald and I will bring to the White House.

My husband is ready to lead this great nation. He is ready to fight, every day, to give our children the better future they deserve.

Ladies and gentlemen, Donald J. Trump is ready to serve and lead this country as the next President of the United States.

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America."

In Crying Cop, Freedom

The Crying Cop

I was touched with what I saw and read in the post of REM ZAMORA at his Google+ Profile.

This picture shows only that TEARS AND PAIN remind us of our humanity.

Such drama and emotions happened during the SONA 2013.

This is the moment where we are called to UNITE. To create one big culture and institutions wherein we are all responsible to mold our self in PROGRESS.

We must all therefore, walk in forward for justice to be applied equally to all. To give PRIDE with our RACE and be as one to FIGHT for our FREEDOM.

Excepts from his post...

Crying Cop

It was a long and tiring dispersal. People were injured. But amidst all of this, I saw a scenario which I thought I will never see during a dispersal.

A foreign protester was berating a policeman asking him why were the policemen hurting the people. Why were they pushing them. The officer simply stood ground and said he is a policeman it is their job to maintain peace and order. That they were given orders and they had to follow.

Suddenly the officer cried. The foreigner kept on shouting at this officer. He was still crying. He was trying to hold his tears but he can't.

A second round of dispersal erupted and while every other anti-riot policemen are pushing and shoving trying to remove the protesters from the ground, the crying cop simply stood ground. He was still holding his shield firmly. Still weeping. Sobbing.

I approached the policeman and asked him his name. He said he is Joselito. A quick glance at his name tag reveals he is Policeman Joselito Sevilla. He said he is a private and his uniform patch reveals he is from Marikina police unit.

When asked why he is crying he replied, "Sa gutom at pagod. Walang tulog. Walang pahinga. Dalawang draw na kame nakadeploy dito. Tapos ganito nagkakagulo." This was also PO1 Sevilla's first dispersal assignment. (Because of hunger and no sleep. We have no rest and we have been stationed here for 2 days already and now it's getting violent.)

Suddenly I understand his situation. No sleep. No food. No rest. And he came face to face with protesters with a clear goal in mind, to break the police line. PO1 Joselito Sevilla was physically and emotionally exhausted. But he had orders to stood his ground and not let protesters get near the Batasan Complex. And he did. Without harming the protesters who at many instances during this long and tiring dispersal tried to hurt them also by throwing rocks and hitting them with wooden sticks from protest flags.

And other protesters notice him also. A policeman whom they expect to retaliate to them was in front of them, holding his shield firmly, weeping. And they started to console PO1 Sevilla. A man hold his shoulder saying that everything is ok. A woman in front of him tried to give him a handkerchief to wipe his tears. And amidst all the chaos, these two protesters hugged PO1 Sevilla and assured him everything will be fine.

Seconds after, other policemen noticed what was happening and they snatched PO1 Sevilla from the front lines. I was caught in the middle and I can not find him anymore.

He was gone.

To Rem Zamora, thanks so much for taking all these pictures and show us the brighter side of the day on how we Filipinos embrace the real and true meaning of KAPATIRAN and KABABAYAN.

In Affidavit of Two Disinterested Persons, Baptismal Certificate

HOW TO APPLY FOR LATE REGISTRATION of BIRTH

This is the case of my mother late registration of her BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

War came suddenly to the Philippines on Dec. 8, 1941(Dec. 7 US TIME). My mother was born November 9, 1941. So by that time my Grandparents did not think of registering my mother because of the war going on. But my mom was baptized at the San Pedro Cathedral, that is her only proof of her extension.

I went to Sangguniang Panglungsod to get information how to late registered my mother's birth. They give me a small paper stating all the requirements:

CEDULA or Community Tax Certificate
Certificate of Late Registration from your Barangay
Barangay Clearance
Marriage Certificate
Baptismal Certificate
Negative Certification from NSO
Affidavit of Two Disinterested persons who might witnessed or known the birth of the child

I accompanied my mother to get all her requirements since my mom is already 71 years old.

First we get this:

We have problems with her name, her baptismal only have LORETO GONZALES. Since she is using two names on her other certificates, Ma. Loreto and Maria Loreto, she is asked to use only one to reflect to her new baptismal certificate according to church in-charge.

So she chooses MARIA LORETO GONZALES indicated on her new baptismal certificate. We pay PHp150 and waited for 1 month processing.

I get a copy of the AFFIDAVIT OF TWO DISINTERESTED PERSONS from DOCSTOC. I just change some of its statement applying for my mom case. Have it signed by our two neighbors who knows my mom. And we went to Sangguniang Panglungsod to have it notarized.

The next day, we went to NATIONAL STATISTICS to get a copy of my mom NEGATIVE CERTIFICATION of her registration. We pay PHp140.

After 1 month we get my mom Baptismal Certificate. All documents ready for checking and passed it to the LATE REGISTRATION WINDOW at Sanggunian Panglungsod.

Then they give us a CLAIM STUB.

I will soon update my mothers' LATE
REGISTRATION of BIRTH.

***UPDATE for my Mother's late registration, it take us years to process it because there is a conflict between the year of her birth date and her sisters birth date. Supposedly, my aunt birthday is May of 1940 and my mother is 1941. But as we check their family registration, my aunt use 1941 instead of 1940. So, we have to ask our family attorney to check and what will be our next move in order to arrange properly all both their details. Up to now, honestly, we cannot already change the year my aunt is using because all of her documents (GSIS, SSS, PHILHEALTH, etc) she used the 1941 year instead of 1940.

Our attorney suggest, is to make another late registration and use the year 1942, but the other concern is my mother BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE (the only living proof that she's born in year 1941).
